Job Description:
ICF International is currently seeking a Conference and Events Coordinator to support our Corporate Marketing and Communications team. This position will be located in Fairfax, VA and will report to the Conference and Events Manager. The Events Specialist will be instrumental in increasing visibility and awareness of the firm's mission and thought leadership to target audiences at live, in-person events. This position will be responsible for supporting logistics and marketing efforts for more than 200 events per year. Events Specialist will cultivate relationships and gain respect as a versatile event marketing expert. The Events Specialist will work collaboratively with other team members and interact with senior levels of internal personnel globally, clients, and vendors.
Key
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic guidance to internal clients with regard to conference participation and live event best practices (conferences, trade shows, speaking engagements, company sponsored events, etc.)
Initiate, develop, and manage development of exhibit booths
Pitch ICF subject matter experts to conference planners to secure speaking slots
Oversee the firm's booth hardware asset management service
Order imprinted promotional items to support live events
Coordinate the distribution of Marketing Materials
Track, measure, and analyze ROI on conference participation
Coordinate registration, shipping, and other logistics for events we host and conferences at which we exhibit
Basic
Qualifications:
BS or BA degree in Marketing/related field plus 2 years of professional experience in a similar role/or/6 years of experience in a similar role in lieu of a degree
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Experience independently managing projects from inception to completion
Ability to juggle multiple projects with changing priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
Knowledge of marketing professional services and government contracting
The ability to lift 40lbs

Professional experience with asset management programs
Proven track record pitching in and building effective relationships with conference planners
Professional Skills:
Excellent organizational, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Superb attention to detail and focus on quality control
Superior verbal communication and personal interaction skills
Effective communication skills to inspire action among a broad range of audiences and the highest levels of management
