Summary:

In this pivotal role, you'll play a vital role in supporting individuals on their path to recovery. You'll develop personalized plans, lead engaging psycho-educational groups, and connect clients with essential resources. Working under the Regional Director of Recovery Academy, you'll collaborate with a supportive team to empower individuals to build a brighter future.


Responsibilities:

  • Recovery & Transition Planning:
    Develop person-centered recovery/transition plans, collaborating with clients to set goals and achieve objectives.
  • Skill-Building Groups:
    Design and facilitate culturally relevant psycho-educational groups focusing on health, wellness, independent living, interpersonal skills, and transitioning to school or volunteer opportunities.
  • Crisis Intervention:
    Provide immediate support and de-escalation strategies during crisis situations.
  • Direct Skill Training:
    Equip clients with practical skills in various settings, both within the Recovery Academy and in the community.
  • Individualized Support:
    Offer individual and group counseling services, including dual diagnosis support for clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use issues.
  • Connecting to Resources:
    Screen for additional needs and collaborate with case managers to ensure clients receive comprehensive support, including referrals for substance use treatment, academic support, medication management, and physical healthcare.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related human services field (experience working with adults with mental illness, substance use disorders, or related challenges is preferred).
  • Qualified Mental Health Trainee (QMHP-E) required; Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-A) is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients and internal/external partners.
  • Self-motivated, with a team-oriented and organized work style.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) or a willingness to learn quickly; experience with Credible EHR is a benefit.


Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range:
    $48,000 - $54,000 (Estimated starting salary based on qualifications and related experience
