Responsibilities:
o Manage the use of Tableau data visualization and business intelligence software. o Perform administrative functions to ensure proper user provisions, create groups for specific projects, turn data into visual representations with views and workbooks, and monitor activity on the Tableau Server, Tableau Desktop, and Tableau Online. o Ensure proper configuration management of Tableau server environment. o Monitor server activity/usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements. o Work with business teams to implement best practices for managing user and group permissions, workbooks and projects, database views, data sources and data connections. o Provide Tableau incident and problem management support. o Contribute significantly to capacity planning activities and knowledge supporting similar products at the enterprise level. o Develop and document standards/best practices for development and administration of the Tableau platform. o Assist in development of workbooks and dashboards to support business initiatives. o Work closely with cybersecurity to maintain a hardened Tableau environment Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Demonstrated experience across several of the following areas:
o 3
years' experience installing and supporting complex report development experience utilizing Tableau or similar report development software. o Understanding of Tableau Server architecture. o In-depth expertise complex data visualization, installation and support of the Tableau Desktop. o Assist users within the organization by setting up new accounts, granting access, and providing issue related support. o Experience with TSM, Tabcmd, and Tabadmin. o Knowledge of Tableau REST API. o Configure and maintain the Tableau Server Software Layer with optimal balance. o Proactively monitor, optimize and report on Tableau platform performance (clustering/load balancing). o Experience working with various data source like DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, SharePoint, etc. o Ability to work with other administrators to troubleshoot software and/or hardware issues/failures. o Contributes input into infrastructure architecture and ensures infrastructure architecture is implemented as intended. o Documentation skills and ability to create training and job aide material. o Work with trouble ticket systems, response to support requests and resolution to issues based on set SLA. o Ability to work in an agile environment. o Due to contract requirements, US citizenship is required
Qualifications:
o Azure or any other cloud experience. o Experience working with big data/Hadoop environment. o Strong understanding of the Tableau Architecture and cloud platform. o Tableau Server Certified Associate preferred. o Tableau Certified Professional preferred. o Working knowledge of Tableau administration, maintenance and support. #CgiFederalJob Skills:
