Sr. Project Controller

POSITION OVERVIEW The Senior Project Controller participates in the planning, tracking, analysis and reporting of performance on projects of varying contract type, size, complexity and level of risk for both services and products. The Senior Project Controller is a key member of the team. They will have significant interface with Program Managers, as well as other functional organizations including Accounting, Contracts, Accounts Receivable and Payable, Billing and the Product team. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) Prepare monthly program financial Estimates at Complete (EAC) and meet deadlines for submission requirements. Review and assess all contract modifications. Prepare monthly program forecast working with Program Manager. Prepare/Support Monthly Operations Report (MOR) presentations for management. Monitor funding status in conjunction with Program Manager, providing reliable and timely notification. Support accounts receivable as required during the billing processing. Monitor billing status and unbilled issues, working with Finance, Contracts, Accounting and Program Managers to resolve issues in a timely manner. Prepare subcontractor and vendor accruals as services/goods are received in accordance with GAAP and internal policies to ensure that the project's cost/commitment is accurately captured and reported internally and externally. Prepare monthly close reports for submission to Accounting. Submit vendor invoices to Accounts Payable. Support Program Managers on an as needed basis, including help with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and timekeeping. Prepare financial Contract Data Requirements (CDRL) for programs. Ensure contractual requirements are met and customer financial deliverables are accurate and on time. Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications include:
Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field plus 8 to 10 years of Project Control or related and progressive experience with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is required. Experience 7
years of Project Control or related experience is required. Training Requirements None required Specialized Knowledge/Skills Requirements Candidates must possess a strong background working with multiple government contract types:
FFP, T&M, CPFF and hybrid contracts. Ability to prepare EAC's for monthly revenue recognition. Ability to forecast monthly. Experience with Costpoint Experience with COGNOS Expertise in Excel and overall MS Office suite and a working knowledge of relevant software applications, Excellent organizational skills, able to handle multiple tasks at one time and meet deadlines. Must be analytical, possess excellent communication and presentation skills and have the ability to work independently as well as a member of a team. Familiarity with Unanet, but not necessary.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
AccountingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
