Eliassen Group is looking for a Sr.
Principle AWS Cloud Architect in the Reston, Virginia area to help support a large AWS migration project.
We are looking for a self starter with a lot of experience working within the AWS space.
Our client is a large semi government organization that helps support the healthcare side of the US.
This role is truly looking for someone who started within the software development area and moved into cloud architecture.
Our client is looking to move very quickly and set up interviews!We can do C2C or W2 for this role.

ResponsibilitiesDefining future application tech stacks for the cloud and migration roadmapMigrating large scale applications to the cloudRewriting modernization of applications creating cloud- nativeWorking extensively with AWS and knows all of the ins and outs of the programWorking on very high-level within AWS and understanding the road map but also what would be best overall with the AWS transformationQualificationsStrong white-boarding and Solutions Architecture experienceProven strong technical architecture design backgroundAbility to analyze a problem from both business and technical perspective and design a solution which fitsPresentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developersExcellent communication and inter-person skill setOver 6
years technology integration experience with Microservices, API Management, Cloud, RDBMS, and big data platform.
Demonstrated leadership leading teams in end-to-end implementations of applications on the cloud.
Must have architected large scale enterprise grade applications on AWS.
Must be able to apply recommended best practices/ cost effective design patterns while migrating applications to cloudGood understanding of cloud native architecture concepts, 12-factor cloud native application methodology, technologies and tools in cloud native landscape, and characteristics of cloud native applications.
Experience in defining technology stacks on the cloud, including Java/JEE stacks(Spring, Spring Integration, spring cloud), API/Microservice stacks(API proxy/gateway/Service Mesh), containers, streaming architecture stacks like kafka etc.
Good understanding of architecture frameworks like Togaf, Zachman etc.
Architecture and development experience leveraging agile methodology, SAFe, and DevOps.
Nice to have:
Ability to work effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.
Self-starter, independent and motivatedExperience in leading legacy application modernization/migrations to the cloud.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
