Senior Project Accountant
Job Description:
ECS is searching for a Project Accountant to join our accounting team.
You will be responsible for Project Setup and Revenue Recognition for several projects across ECS.
As we continue to expand, this role is being created to bring more Project Accounting focus across our organization.
The role will be responsible for performing all aspects of Project Setup in Costpoint for new contract awards and modifications (including, but not limited to WBS structure, billing, revenue, PLC codes, billing rates, workforce).
In this role, they will drive accuracy and consistency across the Company.
They will work closely with Contracts, Operations and Revenue Compliance Staff to ensure Project Setup is correct and allows for necessary reporting, revenue recognition and billing.
In addition to Project Setup, this role will perform monthly revenue analysis of projects to ensure that revenue is correct for month-end close.
They will monitor project performance (profitability and costs) to help with the revenue recognition and risk process.
This role will work with many departments to identify any additional automation that can be added or process improvement necessary to ensure all SOX controls are met.
Required Skills:
2 years' experience with government contracting.
Financial Analysis experience.
Experience working with accounting and finance organizations.
Successful track record in setting priorities.
Desired Skills:
CPA.
Leadership experience.
Deltek Costpoint 8.
Must have experience with a publicly traded company.
Must have experience with full CAS covered business.
