We are seeking a cleared, highly experienced Systems Engineer to support our dynamic customer in Northern Virginia.
This is a fully funded position supporting our customer in Fairfax VA.
Must be fully clearedwith anactive security clearance.
More About the Role:
Support a large telecommunication's centric government agency with an external customer base of approximately 40 other government departments and agencies.
In response to external customer telecommunication service inquiries, analyze and evaluate the impact of customer requirements to the Sponsor's network domain to include specific site hardware requirements as well as hardware and bandwidth requirements across the Sponsor's impacted regional network segments.
Collaborate with the customer and with the appropriate Sponsor groups to identify, document, analyze, and validate the business and technical requirements and their traceability to Sponsor systems.
Contribute to conversations with the customer regarding appropriate solutions based on their requirements and their network architecture.
Perform Sponsor network architecture gap analysis and contribute to future architecture solutions planning.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and evaluate the technical aspects of telecommunications customer requirementsAnalyze and evaluate the impact of customer requirements to the Sponsor's network domain.
This analysis to includes validating that Sponsor equipment at specific sites will support a specific customer requirementAnalyze and evaluate the impact of customer requirements across the Sponsor's regional network to determine network architecture equipment and bandwidth dependenciesCollaborate with the customer to define appropriate technical solutions based on the customer's requirement and network architecturePerform analysis to proactively forecast when equipment and bandwidth are approaching a Sponsor defined capacity thresholdBe knowledgeable of the Sponsor's constraints and organizational objectives and periodically perform gap analysis of the Sponsor's network; Contribute to future architecture solutions planningYou'll Bring These
Qualifications:

years of systems engineering or network engineering domain experienceExpert knowledge of Requirements EngineeringExperience with communications systems or in a commercial, industry or government communications organizationExperience with best practices for network servicesExperience with networking protocolsExperience with IT operations and O&M impactsExcellent communication skills in technical, business, and client interactionsProven ability in working with a multi-discipline team comprised Systems or Network EngineeringExperience working in a dynamic and collaborative environmentExperienced interpreting Network Architectural and design artifactsEducation &
Experience:
This position requires a bachelor's degree and seven to nine years of related experience but for this position abachelor's degree in IT related subject and 4
years' experience; a Doctorate with 2 years; or a master's with 3 years is acceptable.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
