VP/Corporate Controller


Job Description:
We are looking for a VP/Corporate Controller for our corporate office in Fairfax, VA.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and management skills in support of
$1B revenue GovCon company Coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process in an accurate and timely manner ensuring that company financial results are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and the Company's accounting policies; general ledger accounts are adequately reconciled, and account analyses are sufficiently prepared; Coordinate internal reporting of results to ECS executive management and ASGN; Coordinate the annual audit process, liaise with internal and external auditors; Oversee the activities of the accounts payable department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor payments, employee expense reports, and cash control; Oversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings and cash receipts application; Oversee the activities of the payroll department to ensure the accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payrolls and labor distribution; (ECS utilizes ADP for payroll processing); Oversee the integration of newly acquired businesses and assist with purchase accounting; Manage organizational cash flow, including cash forecasting and manage external banking and internal treasury partners; Continuously improve the accounting department's policies and procedures for automation, efficiency and in support of the Company's growth strategy; Effectively communicate and present critical financial matters to the executive management team; Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner; Assistance and collaboration with the operations teams within the Company; Full revenue recognition responsibilities including EAC management as well as compliance and analysis; Help oversee administrative functions to ensure efficient and consistent operations as the organization scales.
Required Skills:
Certified Public Accountant; Experience with government contracting accounting and compliance; Leadership experience; 10
years' experience in accounting; Experience in a government contracting business; Must have experience with a publicly traded company and SOX; Experience of final responsibility for the quality and content of all financial data, reporting and audit coordination for a division of larger corporation; Ability to translate financial concepts to effectively collaborate with colleagues outside the accounting organization; Partner with operations organizations to assist with accounting understanding and questions; Successful track record in setting priorities; Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making; Excellent communication and relationship building skills; Multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment; Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and dedication to the mission of ECS; Extremely organized with amazing time management skills and strong attention to detail.
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
