Are you ready to be a transformer?Job OverviewGovCIO is seeking a candidate for the position of Financial Analyst to support an existing contract for the Department of Veterans.
The Financial Analyst will need strong organizational and analytical skills as the financial tracking activities support a large, dynamic contract.
The environment is fast paced and client needs are often evolving; flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success.
ResponsibilitiesPerform semi-monthly, monthly, yearly, and ad-hoc accounting functionsGather labor hour reports and allocating charges to various projectsSummarize allocations, building period costs, and year-to-date estimatesUnderstand how to develop and interpret budget forecastsTrack expenses against planned budgets and reporting on variancesPredict and track actual indirect labor costs and analyzing irregularitiesAnalyze burn rates, projected expenses, fund run-out dates, and work share percentagesPrepare, coordinate, and submit monthly invoicesReview and verify subcontractor invoicesReview and verify labor invoices of clientsProvide salary and contractor rate recommendations based on current labor rates and expected profitability Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis Requirements Required Skills and ExperienceEducation Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in related financial or business degreeYears of Experienced Required:
5+Experience performing budgeting analysisExperience presenting financial analysis and summaries in an easily digestible mannerExperience developing new financial processes from scratch and providing recommendations on improvement to existing processes Intermediate to Expert-level Excel Skills (vlookups, networkdays, sumif, pivot tables)Experience working in remote environments.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
