These positions are located in Fairfax in the 22030 zip code area.
This is a small fleet operation providing you a pleasant family atmosphere, as well as, low impact route assignments including cluster stop pickup and drop off locations.
Fewer stops, quiet routes and better support each and every day.
Under the guidance of the Transit Manager, the Vehicle Operator will operate a transit vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
Virginia Regional Transit is a non-profit organization that offers employees flexible schedules, paid time off, paid holidays, paid training, dental, and an employer matching.
Vehicle Operators are required to hold a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), with a passenger, school bus and air brake endorsements.
CDL training possible, however applicant must already retain the required permits.
Job Requirements:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma.
One year of directly related experience, preferred.
Post Conditional Offer Contingencies:
Employment is contingent on satisfactory results of a background check, drug screening and a valid driver's license in the state of Virginia or nearby state of residence.
Applicant is required to pass an employer paid DOT Medical Physical.
