Quick Apply Full-time 1 hour ago Full Job Description The Bitar Cosmetic Surgery Institute, one of the busiest plastic surgery practices in the DC Metropolitan area, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Fairfax location.
Job Duties:
Triage patients for providers, assist providers with medical exam, conduct consultations, prepare patients for surgery Assist providers in small and large office-based surgeries.
Provide post-operative care, including dressing changes, for all plastic surgery procedures (facial, rhinoplasty, and body procedures).
Filling syringes, cleaning instruments, and understanding of sterile technique Administrative duties include inventory control, ordering of medical supplies, flipping and cleaning rooms and stocking rooms.
Document patient appointments in EMR.
Requirements:
Medical Assistant certificate of completion Minimum 2 years of experience working as a medical assistant in the plastic surgery field Excellent interpersonal skills; friendly and engaging self starter that works well in high pressure situations Ability to problem solve in a strong, confident manner Excellent computer skills; proficient in MS Office Must be flexible to work some evenings and some Saturdays Knowledge of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery procedures, Injectables (Botox, Dysport, Radiesses, Juvederm, Restylane), laser treatments (IPL, Fractional CO2, Erbium and laser hair removal), CoolSculpting a plus.
Education:
Associates Degree Required; Bachelors Degree preferred, Medical Assistant Certification required Job
