summary statement of position:
Under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate performs duties as required in the warehouse.
The Warehouse Associate must have excellent customer service skills as he or she is in constant, direct contact with clients, community partners, donors, and volunteers.
primary duties:
a) Assist in loading and unloading vehicles at the Food for Others' loading docks b) Sort and inspect all food coming in and going out c) Weigh in and weigh out food and maintain proper record keeping d) Work closely with the warehouse staff and volunteers to ensure efficiency of warehouse operations e) Rotate with staff to clean the kitchen area, offices, bathrooms, and take out trash as necessary f) Sweeping and mopping of the warehouse and general cleanliness of the property additional duties:
All other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or Warehouse Supervisor.
requirements:
Comfortable with entering data into a computer kiosk Must be able to lift 75 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day Experience with walk behind electric pallet jack Able to withstand extreme weather, warehouse will be cold in the winter and hot in the summer Able to stand and work for long periods of time Passionate about the mission of Food for Others Positive attitude Ability to work well in a team atmosphere status:
