We provide peer recovery coaching, harm reduction supplies and counseling, reentry support, jail-based services, recovery housing grants, employment support, basic needs supplies, family support and eduction, and more.
Development and Special Events Coordinator Job Description We are growing our budget and staff steadily and seeking additional support in our small development department.
This position is part-time, approximately 20 hours per week, $22 per hour.
Work can be mostly remote with one in-office day in Fairfax City and travel to event venues as needed.
Responsibilities Assist in crafting and distributing sponsorship solicitations Craft and send sponsor and donor acknowledgments Assist director of development in identifying funding opportunities Coordinate donor database management Assist with raffle prize procurement Coordinate fundraising mailings Create funding opportunity summaries for newly identified grants for leadership to review Prepare and execute all event plans, including set up and tear down, as well as general event support such as caterers, equipment rentals, etc.
Ensure that all event requirements are met (i.
e.
, set up, guest policies, etc.
) Work with the Development Director to ensure that all event sales are met (i.
e.
, ticket sales policies, fundraising goals etc.
) Work with the Catering Team to ensure that all event catered dishes are set up and placed at the correct location at the correct time for optimal presentation Work with the Finance Team to ensure that all event expenses are met (i.
e.
, catering menu design/order set up/order fulfillment, payroll taxes etc.
