We are currently seeking an energetic and passionate student as a Project Purchasing Intern at our corporate office in Fairfax, VA.
This position will report to our corporate office in Fairfax, VA.
Roles and
Responsibilities:

Assist with creation of projects in software, including supplier and product information and specifications.

Collection and daily/weekly report preparation for distribution to various audiences of stakeholders.

Assist breaking apart designer specifications and enter (save) data into purchasing software.

Assist in preparation of bidding documents.

Produce and maintain daily reports such as:
Purchase Orders, expense reports and invoices in accordance with policies.

Attend all required meetings, take detailed and accurate minutes, and report out in a timely and organized manner.

Follow up with vendors on deliverables for active purchase orders.

Enter tracking information and estimated delivery dates into purchasing software.

Process proof of delivery and receiving documents (to ensure what is delivered matches to what is purchased)
Report any items to the manager that would potentially delay the installation schedule.

Record damaged items into damaged log.

Save designer submittals into Crescents Sharepoint project folder and enter designer submittal status into purchasing software.

Raise red flags to the manager/team of any items/events that would potentially delay the production and/or project.

Generate close out forms and request documentation from vendors/follow up on outstanding forms and documentation
Document saving (include W9, weekly invoices, purchase orders, reporting etc.
)
Will demonstrate high level of organization, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; will efficiently shift from task to task with minimal disruption in flow.

Will demonstrate discretion, high social awareness, and emotional intelligence with the ability to maintain confidential information and manage communications efficiently, effectively, and professionally.

Will demonstrate ability to effectively engage with internal and external customers.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS Education &
Experience:

Must be currently enrolled at an accredited educational institution
Must be actively pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
Must be at least 18 years of age
Minimum of a 3.
0 GPA
Strong written and verbal communication skills strongly preferred
Prior experience working preferred
Ability to use Microsoft office products proficiently preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
