Purpose of the Organization:
The School of Nursing prepares students for interdisciplinary roles as clinicians, educators, researchers, and administrators.
Our students learn to address the challenges of a rapidly changing and diverse health care environment with hands-on experience in our simulation and skills labs, and our Mason and Partners clinics.
Their experience working with the culturally diverse patient population in the northern Virginia area provides them with the necessary skills to deliver health care where it's needed the most.
Purpose of the Position:
This position will oversee the coordination and operation of day-to-day activities of the simulation center.
Responsibilities:
Coordinating day-to-day activities of the simulation center including student scheduling, operating simulation exercises, collaborating with nursing technology laboratory and clinical faculty on student simulation exercises, and participating in curriculum development including simulation experiences;Collaborating with School of Nursing (SoN) administration on the purchases, maintenance, and service contracts related to the simulation laboratory;Assisting with skills/technology laboratory courses for SoN students as they interface with the simulation center;Seeking/writing grant proposals for simulation funding sources;Collaborating with leadership on potential simulation courses for community-based continuing education; andMeeting Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice (HSSBP) for high quality simulation.
Required
Qualifications:
An earned Master's degree (MSN) in nursing or related field in healthcare;Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE);Experience as a registered nurse or health care equivalent;Previous simulation center experience with high, medium, and low fidelity simulators, including developing and running simulation scenarios and debriefings, working with vendors on software and hardware upgrades and replacement, and experience in assessing and troubleshooting equipment failures;Knowledge of A-V equipment and software for recording, duplication, mixing, and editing of recorded scenarios;Ability to provide additional education to faculty in simulation exercises; andExperience with software tracking tools (e.
g.
, Excel).
Preferred
Qualifications:
Teaching experience in simulation-based education (2
years preferred).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
