Senior Staff Engineer with Security Clearance
Job Description Marathon TS is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to join our team working at our Fairfax, VA or Concord, NH officeAbout this Position:
Responsible to assigned Projects and Project Manager(s) for technical project execution providing cross-discipline technical expertise in leadership/contributions in delivering a high-quality technical product which meets customer requirements within the Project budget and scheduleResponsible to Business Area Directors for technical support in business development activities as directed
Responsibilities:
The qualified applicant will become part of Trident's team in Fairfax, VA an organization focused on development and production of state-of-the-art space RF/processor system solutions.
o The selected candidate will be responsible for a technical program team of approximately 5 to 10 highly skilled systems engineers whose responsibilities may include requirements development and flow down, system architecture, software/hardware/firmware development, system performance modeling/analysis, integration and test planning and execution, system verification, and sustainment.
o Act as a Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) lead for project teamOwn and manage the overall technical baseline of the assigned project(s) - Be accountable for budget, schedule, risks/opportunities for systems engineering execution/content of the assigned project(s).
o Serve as the systems engineering team liaison to program management, customers, and functional management of the assigned programs(s)Responsible for close customer cooperation to ensure that requirements meet customer expectations and manage expectations as necessary.
o Drive Trident systems engineering process application across the assigned project(s).
o Support project proposals including technical baseline definition, trades, Work estimation including deriving Basis-of-Estimation for complex project development
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's in Engineering or closely related disciplineMaster's in Engineering or PhD in Engineering desired Years of
Experience:
15 years of relevant experience, 7 in a technical/SEIT leadership roleKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:
o Candidates must have demonstrated relevant technical leadership experience in requirements development and flow down, system architecture, hardware, software/firmware development, system performance modeling/analysis, integration and test planning and execution, system verification, and sustainmento Candidate must have demonstrated work experience and high level of proficiency in one or more engineering functional areas (RF, Hardware or Firmware preferred)o Candidate must have the ability to work effectively in a team environment and possess strong communication and presentation skills.
o High proficiency in technical problem solving, to include decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation and monitoring.
o Experience in design, development, implementation, or operation of high-reliability embedded hardware for aerospace payloadso US Citizenship with willingness to obtain TS/SCI, is requiredDesired Attributes:
o Strong background in space-borne RF including communications, RADAR, SIGINT, etc.
