Top Secret IT Specialist (Networking)
This person will work on the Corporate IT Team and while they will perform a variety of tasks, he/she will focus on the networking side of things.
We are looking for someone with 4-8 years of experience that has a solid base of networking skills and will eventually take over the networking lead role on the team as the current person is a few years from retirement (mentorship from that person will be provided).
He/She will support both the Fairfax, VA and Denver, CO offices and any folks that are CONUS/OCONUS at customer sites Minimum RequirementsBe a part of a small team responsible for designing, installing, implementing, and maintaining a multi faceted network infrastructure with strict security, fault tolerance and availability requirements.
Areas of involvement include rack level, data center, and transport layers.
Most work is performed on-site at the Fairfax location, but some travel may be required to the Denver location.
This is in support of all in house networks located at both Fairfax and Denver locations.
Technical Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in network implementation and maintenance Proficiency with Cisco and HP networking devices Proficiency with multiple network protocols, to include, TCP/IP, IPv4, UDP (and multicast), TLS, VPLS, GRE Experience configuring, maintaining, or troubleshooting:
o Routing Protocols (i.
e.
OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP).
o Virtual LAN's and Trunking (VLAN's).
o Local Area Network (LAN) and/or Wide Area Network (WAN).
o Network Controlled Interfaces/Security:
Firewall, ACL.
Security
or CISSP Certification Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in groups Desired Skills:
Experience engaging with and working seamlessly within a team Experience with networking Linux and/or BSD systems to include system administration Recommended Skills Border Gateway Protocol Certified Information Systems Security Professional Cisco Communication Data Centers Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
