Furniture Fixture Capital Project Mgr

Job DescriptionThe Furniture, Fixtures, Capital Project Purchasing Manager manages the organization and coordination of furniture projects of varying sizes and complexity throughout the system.
The Furniture, Fixtures, Capital Project Purchasing Manager must be highly organized, hands-on and customer-service oriented.
This position reports to the Director of Purchasing and Operational Excellence and also provides strategic planning and implementation support for the development of project across the system.
This role is responsible for the development and implementation of system wide standards for clinical and non-clinical furniture.
Job Responsibilities Develop and manages the operation by utilizing a strong knowledge base/expertise in areas of focus related to the program.
Exhibits outstanding collaboration and teamwork skills with diverse groups of people both internally and externally to successfully accomplish the goals of the project.
Partners with appropriate business sponsors to drive effective decisions and brief business development senior leadership regularly throughout.
Develops and implements various projects in all areas of the organization.
Supports in overall coordination of information to key stakeholders in the system of care.
Manages the furniture request process from start to finish.
Organizes information in an efficient manner for quick processing and decision making.
Monitors trends within the market to provide recommendations that are both clinically/operationally functional and financially responsible.
Participates in facility development planning, including master planning on existing campuses and new facility planning.
Develops and oversees implementation of furniture standards throughout the system Facilitates cross-functional teams/programming workgroups, including physicians, administrators, and clinical team members.
Partners with hospital and system-wide finance, purchasing, and design and construction teams to gain consensus and approval for projects Monitors progress to schedule and makes appropriate corrections as needed as measured by monthly project reports.
Manages contracts and budgets by coordinating personnel and keeping complete records of project activities.
Uses benchmarks with other hospitals, universities, public agencies, and professional organizations for the purpose of sharing knowledge, cost performance, skills and promotion of public relations.
Facilitates group processes as a leader, facilitator, and participant, utilizing skills to bring group to consensus to meet the expected outcomes of the effort.
Facilitates communication horizontally and vertically within the various facilities of the Inova Health System for the purpose of integrating/sharing information regarding standardization and decision making.
Works to collect, analyze, and disseminate data and/or information needed to implement project.
Involved in capital equipment purchases.
Responsible for and manages the capital purchase orders.
Supports additional projects and duties as assigned.
