TheSoftware Engineer (SWE) performs a variety of systematic, disciplined, andquantifiable approaches to the development, operation, and maintenance ofsoftware, encompassing techniques and procedures often regulated by softwaredevelopment process with the purpose of improving the reliability andmaintainability of software systems.
Establishes software information andengineering requirements, which is necessitated by the potential complexity ofthese software systems, which may contain millions of lines of code.
Appliesthe discipline of software engineering for specific technical problems andprocedures, including knowledge, tools, and methods for software requirements,software design, software construction, software testing, and software maintenancetasks.
Relates to the disciplines of software engineering to the disciplines ofComputer science, computer engineering, management, mathematics, projectmanagement, quality management, software ergonomics, and systems engineering.
Dutiesand functions are to include but are not limited to:
o Conduct technicalassessments and quality assurance of existing ME products to assess effectivityin satisfying and/or exceeding requirements and identify solutions forimproving product performance.
o The SW Engineerwill collaborate with various team members from network engineers, support andoperations to ensure a plan is in motion to improve the products, capabilities,and overall customer's experienceo The SW Engineerwill research best practices regarding advanced technology in the field andseek to find cost-effective solutions to integrate into Mission Essential's productsand services.
REQUIREMENTSo5-7 years' experience developing IT and cloudinfrastructureo5-7 years' experience in developing systems architecturesand optimizing architectures for performance oBachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering orequivalent experience.
