5K - $88K a year Brightview Senior Living is currently hiring a seasoned Human Resources Professional to join our MD/VA team! This Human Resources Business Partner will support nine (9) senior living communities in total with 5 in Virginia and 4 in Maryland.
When not traveling to a Brightview community, you will be working remote or from the Home Office in Baltimore.

Summary:
As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will provide sound HR advice and support to managers and associates particularly involving the areas of employee relations, retention, workforce analysis/planning, change management and strategy development.
How you will serve our Business and Community:
You'll consistently and genuinely demonstrate the STARS principles of Service, Teamwork, Action, Reputation and Success in all activities and interactions.
We'll rely on your knowledge of employee relations to support managers and front line staff; conducts investigations and makes recommendations for disciplinary or other action as appropriate; provide risk assessment for disciplinary action recommended by managers.
Engage one-on-one with associates and facilitate interactions with associates and managers to address concerns and/or performance issues.
You'll pay an important role in conducting one-on-one training for newly hired Department Directors on the core elements of human resource management.
Confer with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and required skills.
Support hiring managers in the execution of candidate searches and timely hiring of quality candidates.
Evaluate candidates and provides selection insight/direction to hiring managers for consideration; approves hires where background investigations or other special circumstances warrant escalated review.
We like to be proactive so you will participate in or lead workforce analysis to ensure proper staffing, talent management, and maximized efficiency.
Work closely with division leadership and field managers to develop and manage succession plans and career development strategies.
We're a growing company so you will serve as change agent to promote new initiatives and other changes that will impact associates; consult with managers to develop communication strategies and participates in or leads the change process.
Evaluate Human Resources activities and their impact on the organization; make recommendations to management as appropriate; may research alternatives, present proposals and manage approved projects.

Why we're looking for you:
You have a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and three - five years recruiting and employee relations experience, preferably in a multi-site environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
You are knowledgeable and up to date on human resources laws and regulations both Federal and multi state with a concentration in MD and VA.
Technology has been part of your job for some time, so you have strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet based applications.
Your excellent written and verbal communication skills give you the ability to connect and communicate effectively with individuals with a wide variety of experiences, backgrounds, and skill levels.
You have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
You have the ability to work effectively from you home, commuting to communities as needed and most often at least 3 days/week, directing your own work, and escalating issues/updates to your manager, as appropriate.
There is some overnight travel required and you have the ability to be on-site at local communities, including some out of state travel, up to 3 - 4 days/month.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
