Responsibilities:
o Design and architect new software components in Java, C, C++, and Python to meet program needso Lead small group of developers via managing day-to-days tasks, assigning deadlines, and leading code reviewso Organize/coordinate/lead an agile Scrum team with two-week sprintso Key personnel to communicate technical and programmatic issues to managemento Research, identify, and evaluate new technologies for adoption by the Navyo Participate in various technical and program meetings on a weekly basiso Integrate COTS and GOTS tools, including open source products and API-driven integration effortso Build multi-tier software solutions, including database design and integration Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
o Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, including configuration management, good coding practices, and experience in writing, testing, and deploying production-quality softwareo Software development experience using Java (JAVAFX), Spring, C/C++, Python, and other languages in a Linux environmento Experienced in leading small Software Development teamo Ability to manage day-to-day tasking for a small group of developerso Experienced in DevOps/Agile methodologieso Experience using Linux, preferably Red Hat or derivativeso Knowledge of containerization technologies on Linux OS (Docker, Podman, k8s, RKE2)o Familiarity with hypervisor based virtualizationo Experience with open source software and custom software, as well as integration between software applications using middle tier integration and data-driven modelso Experience in cybersecurity best practiceso Strong written and oral communication skillso Technical problem-solving ability for large and complex software systems Desired Experience/Certifications:
o 10 years of experience in Software Engineering fieldo CISSP, CEH certification What sets you apart:
