ECS is seeking a Security Specialist to work in our Fairfax, VA office.
Job Description:
ECS Federal is seeking a highly motivated and well-organized individual that will be a part of a dynamic security team.
The Security Specialist will aide in the development, implementation and maintenance of security policy and procedures as required by the Department of Defense (DoD) and the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
The Security Specialist will be responsible for daily security operations and NISP/NISPOM compliance for a facility located in Fairfax, VA.
This is a permanent full-time position.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter able to work independently with limited supervision and manage multiple simultaneous projects, organize and prioritize various tasks seeing each through to successful completion.
Have knowledge of the 32CFR and some experience with the implementation of DoD security requirements within a defense contractor.
You will support the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and the team in all matters necessary to ensure compliance with the NISP.
Assist with the administrative details of the security program.
Prepare, organize and maintain all required facility and personnel security documentation and paperwork.
Establish and maintain successful working relationships with USG and internal customers.
Collaborate with team members.
Assist in managing DISS, NBIS and eAPP.
Process Visit Access Requests (VAR), clearance transfers and related actions.

Citizen, have an active Secret clearance and a minimum of four years' experience in DoD security.
Required Skills:
Active Secret clearance eligibility Minimum of 4 year experience Knowledge of the 32 Code of Federal Regulations Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (32CFR Part 117 NISPOM) Strong organizational and administrative skills Well organized with ability to self-motivate, multi-task, and handle competing priorities and interruptions Able to work independently and participate as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment Knowledge and use of the following DoD systems:

Defense Industry Security System (DISS)2.
National Background Investigation System (NBIS) MS Office Suite Bachelors Degree Desired Skills:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
