ECS is seeking a Databricks Administrator (Computer Systems Engineer/Architect - Journeyman) to work in our Fairfax, VA office
Job Description:
The Databricks Administrator will support the administration and daily operations of our Databricks platformYou'll work closely with delivery teams to understand their customer's questions and needs, and then help ensure solutions are designed and developed to meet clients' functional and technical requirementsThis role is critical to the platform by providing a full-code centralized workspace for users to explore data and build analytical projects, tools, and modelsThe ideal candidate is:
o Someone with a solid background developing solutions for high volume, low latency applications and can operate in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment.
o A candidate with distributed computer understanding and experience with SQL, Spark, ETL.
o A person who appreciates the opportunity to be independent, creative and challenged.
o An individual with a curious mind, passionate about solving problems quickly and bringing innovative ideas to the tableRequired Skills:
o BA or BS degree.
o Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
o Minimum 2
years of hands-on administration experience, from setting up the Databricks environment to successfully administering it (AWS preferred).
o Experience as the Databricks account owner, managing workspaces, AWS accounts, audit logs, and high-level usage monitoring.
o Experience as Databricks workspace admin, managing workspace users and groups including single sign-on, provisioning, access control, and workspace storage.
o Experience managing S3 access across a large user base.
o Experience managing cluster and jobs configuration options.
o Experience with Databricks security and privacy setup.
o Experience troubleshooting end user and platform-level issues.
o Experience delivering client presentations and demos.
o Experience optimizing usage for performance and cost preferred.
o Ability to multitask and reprioritize tasking on the fly according to the needs of a growing platform and its stakeholders.
o Strong coding skills in SQL and Python (PySpark) with experience optimizing codeDesired Skills:
o Experience with Qlik dashboarding and development functions.
o Experience with facilitating BI tool training.
o Experience in using DoD Data Management to manipulate and integrate databases with SQL, SAS, or other languages.
o Knowledge of Big Data systems, including Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, or Cloudera.
o Able to discern stakeholder needs, effectively communicate development plans, and track progress milestones.
o Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
o Excellent critical thinking skills to assess numbers, trends, and data to reach new conclusions based on findings.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
