EDW Consultant for the DEA Datawarehouse Project - Location:
DC, MD, Northern VA area (requires 2 to 3 days per week onsite at Merrifield (Fairfax), VA DEA Office.
Job SummarySeeking an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Consultant with SQL Developer and cloud environment experience to support to the Office of Information Systems (TC) within the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
The DEA's SQL Server-based EDW is used by a majority of DEA's applications and is a critical component of statistical reporting.
AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED As with any position, additional expectations exist.
Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing other tasks as assigned.

(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position) To assist EDW Team and provide data warehouse information and/or systems transitioning to a cloud environment Create and maintain database integrity and performance using scripts and/or VS Database Project Create new and maintain/improve any and all data transformation services:
Microsoft SSIS and others using VS data tools Create SQL Scripts to deploy / enhance / maintain databases Create and maintain database security, including, but not limited to:
DB Roles, Users and Logins May write reports or facilitate data access by other means as needed, to include SSRS, PowerBI, etc Conducts performance tuning and database design, dimensional analysis and modeling Maintain and add to an extensive set of SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS) packages for Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) data Supports the review of database systems from non-Concorde applications in other DEA offices Participates in daily Agile stand-up meetings and monthly planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospective sessions Maintain, enhance, and create enterprise and application level SQL Server Report Service (SSRS) and other Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
If requested, the EDW team will leverage SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) for performance purposes Other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications 2
years of Cloud environment experience (AWS or Microsoft Azure) 8 years of experience in the design, development and implementation of SQL Server databases creating and maintaining T-SQL Procedures, functions, packages and triggers 2 years of experience with SSIS packages for data manipulation and loading 2 years of experience with the SQL Server 2012 environment Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline Previous experience with Business Intelligence, Kimball Modeling and/or elastic search is desired An active secret clearance is requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of and experience within, an Agile development environment Knowledge of and prior experience with Git and Python, and PowerShell Knowledge of and ability to use, Azure DevOps Server Ability to write efficient SQL queries as well as demonstrated ability to interpret legacy scripts Knowledge of and prior experience with multi-dimensional data models Ability to create reports with a solid understanding of a variety of BI data tools Knowledge of and prior experience with SSIS Knowledge of Kimball data warehouse methodology highly desired Demonstrated ability and desire to learn new technologies Experience with data modeling programming and software development, including Python, R, or other high-level language used in statistical computingCompany Summary Join the VSolvit Team!
