0 Fairfax, VA Fairfax, VA Full-time Full-time From $21 an hour From $21 an hour 5 days ago 5 days ago 5 days ago Horizons Healthcare Services is looking for a Patient Intake and Coordinator JOB DESCRIPTION Accurately Input data on a computer system Frequently monitors the status of incoming referrals Coordinates communication and faxes applicable documents to physician office and hospital Receive referrals, keep communication with referral sources and marketers Staff all disciplines that are listed in the orders/discharge orders (SN, PT, OT, ST, HHA) Verify insurance, Medicare eligibility, and commercial insurances Verify physicians, through PECOS and License Look up Notification of services calls and obtaining all contact information for patient Updating the Intake Spreadsheet with all new referrals and admission dates.
Enter Patient information into the system.
Deliver all important messages to the clinicians in regards of patients or from staff within the office.
Enter in new patient information, verify insurance and communicate with marketers/referral sources.
Perform follow up calls for all active patients.
Work with insurances to process authorization requests.
QUALIFICATIONS Basic Computer Skills Knowledge operation of basic office equipment- fax machine, scanner, computer Good Telephone Customer Services Skills Preferably worked or some experience in Medical Office Setting College degree/ Bilingual a plus Job Type:
