Job Details Designs and builds programs using a variety of software applications, techniques, and development toolsWrites basic or more routine programs according to specifications providedDevelops user interface features, site animation, and special effectsDevelops code using Java, C#, HTML, Javascript, or other programming languagesPerforms functionality and navigation testingTests logical structure to meet program requirements.
o Partners with content developers and graphics designers to discuss needs, and draft designs of softwareWorks with more experienced developers to ensure needs are technically feasible and designs can be executed.
o Provides technical site maintenance and advice on routine/basic issues related to animation, search engine techniques, link integrity, navigation, browsers, graphics, and other technical web topics.
o Develops the requirements of a product from inception to conclusionTests, debugs, and refines the software to produce the required product.
o Reviews functional specifications from which programs will be written and then designs, codes, debugs, and documents programs.
o Works on user interfaces of interactive web applications that align with ADA 508, and cross browser compliance.
o Writes clean, reusable code to develop functional web applications with scalability, performance, and security in mind.
o Maintains compliance with standards and conventions in developing programs.
o Trains with senior developers on how to modify and create systems software and ensures systems efficiency and integrity.
o Conducts analysis, development, and maintenance of software in a supervised setting.
o Conducts systems tests, monitors test results, and takes appropriate corrective action for the more routine/basic issues.
o Runs coded unit tests and works with Testers/Information Assurance to address program and/or security findings.
o May prepare documentation, including block diagrams, logic flow charts and software program documentationParticipates in development of software user manualsMinimum Qualificationso Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems a related field or equivalent relevant experience; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
o 0-2 years of experience with programming or web development activitiesOther Job Specific Skillso Must be detail oriented, as well as able to work well with clients.
o Experience with Java, C#, Python, XML, JavaScript, or other programming languages in order to design and develop prototypes from the ground up.

o Experience working with scalable databases and developing applications against a relational database such as Oracle or SQL Server preferred.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills.
