Accounts Payable Specialist with Security Clearance

Altamira has an open position for a highly qualified and talented Staff Accountant/AP Specialist, with proven record and performance in the U.
SGovernment contracting industry, at our Corporate Headquarters in McLean, VAResponsibilities will include, but not limited to:
o Maintain proper vendor records within Deltek Costpoint system to ensure proper payment and reporting to include 1099s.
o Process employee expense reports and customer invoiceso Weekly accounts payable payments including ACH, Domestic and International wires, and checkso Provide guidance and ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP, FAR and CASo Ensure all vendor invoices are properly recorded for timely paymento Assist with annual and periodic financial audits, Incurred Cost Submission, and DCAA interactionso Work closely with Project Control team to ensure accurate tracking and reporting on active projects and close out projectso Assist with special projects, integration, and due diligenceo Other duties and assignments as required Required skills and
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is desiredo At least 2 years of experience in finance and accounting in the government contracting industryo Must be detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills and analytical approach and mindseto Experience with Deltek Costpointo Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is desiredo Strong communication skills, with ability to effectively interact and communicate, both oral and written, with individuals across the organization Other Desired Skills:
