Description
Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to join our Security team. Work Monday through Thursday,
20 hours per week
. Flexible hours. This position will be located in Fairfax, VA.

The qualified applicant will become part of the Northrop Grumman team supporting Security. While this position will report directly to the Sector Director of Security, the position also will support directors and senior managers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Full range of standard administrative duties to include meeting coordination, document
preparation, visitor escort, as well as travel and expense processing and preparation of briefings. The nature of the position involves exposure to sensitive information necessitating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment. Initiates, researches and obtains information for reports and special assignments. May act as coordinator of sector projects, following up on pending details, coordinating activities and ensuring deadlines are met. Provide preparation support for events and meetings and provide meeting minutes when requested. Centrally support purchasing activities. Additional Administrative duties include: calendar and schedule management, travel and expense reporting, filing, ordering of supplies, and special company personnel at all organizational levels to gather information for reports, projects, meetings and events. Will also be responsible for routine administrative duties: coordinates staff meetings, teleconferences, answer telephone, screens calls and forwards messages, prepares expense reports, and maintains filing system. Answers questions relating to executive office operations and established policies and procedures. Recommends new office procedures, processes, or techniques to improve effectiveness.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
High school Diploma and Minimum 6 years of administration experience to include: Demonstrated use of standard office administrative practices and procedures, including standard office equipment.

6 + years experience with various PC software packages such as PowerPoint, Excel spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, etc., to produce high quality reports, presentations, or other documents.


6+ years experience with handling executive calendars with precision, as well as travel plans, coordinator of sector projects, following up on pending details, coordinating activities and ensuring deadlines are met.

Work is generally confidential in nature, previous experience in a similar environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
