General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) has an immediate opening for a Senior Engineer to join our Information Assurance team . The position provides an opportunity to work directly with some of our nation's fundamental defense services. GDAIS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to secure clients information systems and their contents. Key Responsibilities
The Senior Information Assurance Engineer interacts with GDAIS clients to recommend and provide information assurance solutions including supporting certification and accreditation activities. Counsel will be based on the employees understanding of the way various products and services interrelate. Team members also develop the verification procedures used in risk assessments and security tests and evaluations. The selected employee will develop various security documentations, including security, configuration management and contingency plans in compliance with Information Assurance policy. It is also the responsibility of the Senior Advanced Engineer to conduct risk assessments.
Perform duties as the Senior Information Assurance Engineer for selected customer systems. Coordinate information technology security regulations and requirements, including the following:
Ensuring that security requirements for the systems will be met.
Execute Vulnerability scans, perform analysis and prioritization of the results, and determine action plans.
Support certification and accreditation of computer systems.
Assess and validate that technical security controls are in place by working with system engineers and developers.
Maintain hardware and software inventories.
Prepare System Security Plans, including development, test, and maintenance of a Contingency Plan.
Follow established reporting procedures.
The candidate will insure that security requirements: NIST 800 Sp-37, NIST 800-53, ICD 503, and CNSSI 1253, for the systems will be met

Practice creative thinking and ideation to advance our business performance specifically in information assurance.
Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers changing business needs.
Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the GDAIS culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures.
Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure GDAISs services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices.
Candidates must demonstrate a passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of emerging technologies, and the ability to effectively manage and protect information systems in a cost-effect manner.
The Senior Information Assurance Engineer position requires a bachelors degree in a specialized area or field or the equivalent, and a minimum of eight to ten years of related experience. Applicants with a masters degree and six to eight years of related work experience also qualify.
Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. SCI eligibility is required . Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
