General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) has an immediate opening for an Advanced Systems Engineer to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. Key Responsibilities
Advanced Systems Engineers analyze, design, develop and test GDAIS systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety and other requirements in the total engineering effort. Additional Responsibilities include formulating operational concepts; performing mission, functional, cost-benefit and risk analysis; selecting systems architecture; and preparing specifications for GDAIS operating systems to ensure designs meet applicable security specifications. These individuals may also be asked to document security on both new and fielded information systems or provide accreditation/certification evaluation and test support to ensure all technical security features are considered and functioning properly.

Candidates must demonstrate passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of various engineering systems and the ability to further advance GDAIS technology.
The Advanced Systems Engineer position requires a bachelors degree in a specialized area, field or the equivalent and at least five to eight years of related work experience. Applicants with a masters degree and a minimum of three to five years of related experience are also eligible.
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
The following experience is required:
Water Fall/Agile System/SW development models
Supporting system requirements definition as well as Requirement Tracing
Compiling requirement analysis into requirements artifacts: user need statements, shall/use case/user stories, etc.
Hands-on experience with various requirement elicitation techniques such as prototyping, interviewing, brainstorming
Collaborating with Requirements teams/Development teams to analyze system requirements
Collaborating with Development teams on implementation and maintenance of system/software products
Collaborating with Test teams on implementation and maintenance of test cases/procedures
Familiar with the full system development life cycle as it pertains to the delivery of the program and its supporting documentation: SSS, SRD, SRS, SDD, etc.

MS Office Visio, Powerpoint, Excel, Word

SW development background using Java/SQL Server DBMS

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
