General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) has an immediate opening for a Network Security/Information Assurance Engineering Lead to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop cutting-edge technologies that supports some of our Nation's fundamental defense services. The selected candidate will work in a Cyber-defense collaborative agent role that will function across all GDAIS' programs and offerings for our Navy customers. Key Responsibilities
With the focus on Cyber Security design approaches and technologies, the candidate will shape product development through interaction with the Navy customers and leadership and industry subject matter experts to provide technical solutions that solve existing and future capability gaps in systems and architectures across GDAIS' Navy programs including Littoral Combat System (LCS), Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV), Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) and future associated opportunities.
Key capabilities to perform job responsibilities include the following:
Proficient in the integration, configuration and proposed placement of networking and security capabilities within network architectures. Is current in state of the art security capabilities used to defend against insider and advanced threats.
Possesses the ability to assess customer requirements/existing network security architectures and make recommendations based on cost, technical and performance, and is familiar with network management, security information event management and network assessment tools.
Familiar with IA certification and accreditation (C&A;) standards to include DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP), NIST Risk Management framework and SANS Consensus Audit Guidelines (CAG) 20 critical controls (e.g. 8500.2, 800-53 Rev.4). Possesses ability to align C&A; standards with network engineering and design requirements.
Familiar with Navy (DON) test tools (e.g. eEye Retina, STIG checklists, SCC)
Self-starter with the personality and demeanor to interface with senior leadership including technical and management personnel. Possesses the ability to develop compelling presentations for the company to align with business and technical strategies. Experience working in fast-paced environment while leading or coordinating with small teams.
Experience with new business development activities including the development of Request for Information/Proposal (RFI/RFP) products from a technical perspective. The candidate must be fluent in business development proposal cycle with the ability to organize content in response to multiple customer objectives and requirements.
Specific Program to be supported :
GDAIS' Navy programs including Littoral Combat System (LCS), Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV), Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) and emerging Shipboard business needs.
Travel: The candidate must have the ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications (Preferred)
CISSP Certified
Certification as an IA Manager per DoD 8570.1
Experience in requirements development, HW & SW selection, integration and certification of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
The Network Security/Information Assurance Engineering Lead position requires a Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or the equivalent and a minimum of 10 years related experience including 5 to 10 years of Cyber/Information Assurance work experience. Applicants with a Master's degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience including 5 to 8 years of Cyber/Information Assurance work experience are also eligible.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Demonstrated experience in Information Assurance engineering practices and principles throughout the System development life-cycle including requirements development, concept development, architecture development, detailed design support including HW and SW implementations, integration and test, and performance analysis.
Candidates must demonstrate passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of various engineering systems and the ability to further advance GDAIS technology.
