Summary:
HCI - integrated solutions is seeking a full time Accounts Payable/General Accounting Clerk to join the Corporate Support Team in Fairfax, Virginia. The successful individual will exhibit a high level of professionalism, and adaptability to changing business priorities; be responsible for all areas relating to Accounts Payable including, but not limited to, invoice processing and payments, monitoring and taking the lead on cash disbursements, and month end close functions as needed (i.e. preparing journal entries). Aptitude to communicate in professional manner with all accounting staff, internal customers and vendors is required. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Reports directly to the Director of Finance & Accounting/Controller.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include the following: journal entry preparation, account analysis and reconciliation, invoice processing and payment submission, process check run and general accounting tasks related to accounts payable and reporting, including participating in the monthly accounting close process, other related duties as needed.
The ideal candidate must be able to prioritize and allocate resources in a challenging, fast-paced, deadline driven team environment. They must also demonstrate an ability to take ownership and be accountable through individual actions and teamwork, continually working toward the goal of improving processes and efficiency.
Preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must have Microsoft Excel experience.
Quick learner with the drive to succeed.
Ability to learn and obtain proficiency with accounting programs.
General working knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards.
Experience with Costpoint a plus.
Additional Position Information:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field required.
