Position Responsibilities
o Our inside sales team is growing and with grown comes the need to hire additional talent.
o We are looking for Entrepreneur... Yes, professional inside sales to run open territories, make money and take their careers to the next level.
o You will own a territory and will be responsible for the entire sales cycle - Lead to close.
o To be successful you will develop a business plan to drive your territory to new heights.
o You will be supported by marketing, outbound team and an entire echo-system including field sales and pre-sales consultants.
o You will drive the key initiatives in your territory, in other words you are the quarter back the strategy for your territory and will be the owner of what we called your territory/franchise.
o You will interact daily with our customers prospecting for additional business and calling within different levels of our customer base.
o One of the keys to your success is your ability to develop a healthy pipeline, take that pipeline and advance it through the sales cycle and then close business.
o You will interact regularly across multiple supporting departments within the Ellucian organization.
o A competitive spirit and a winning attitude is a must.
o As a top contributor you will be required to Consistently managing and accurately forecasting monthly, quarterly, and annual pipelines and forecasts.
o You will be required to develop proposals, quotes and pricing for your clients.
o Developing, maintaining and sharing competitive knowledge to leverage in sales cycles.
o High degree of accountability and hungry for success.
o Great ability to learn our product portfolio and discover needs and present/demo solutions via web.
o You need to possess passion for Higher Education and a commitment to help your customers improve.

Position Requirements
o Previous software sales experience. Knowledge of Higher Education is a plus but not necessary.
Desired Skills/Knowledge/Experience
o Experience selling to small, medium and or large corporations. Higher Education experience is a huge plus.
o Strong ability to develop and manage executive customer relationships and work with multiple levels within an organization to articulate the business value of our company's products and services.
o Proven ability to successfully sell software, managed consulting services deals.
o Strong desire to rapidly grow revenue/business within assigned territory and to develop Ellucian as the solutions provider of choice in that territory.
o Strong ability to balance the accomplishment of near-term revenue goals with the long-term, multi-year territory development including pipeline management and updating.
o Excellent communication, negotiation and closing skills.
o Strong business acumen and judgment for identifying, evaluating, developing, and closing sales opportunities.
o Excellent sales presentation and business writing skills.
o Excellent time management and organization skills.
o Experience developing financial spreadsheets and business justification cases.
o Experience presenting solutions both internally and externally.
o Ability to network and develop strong business relationships not only with customers and prospects in the assigned territory, but with all departments and key stakeholders within Ellucian.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
