Accounting Manager
The Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP), a national writers' organization affiliated with George Mason University, seeks a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to manage books, enter deposits, manage payables, and coordinate AWP's various accounts with the university.
Responsibilities:
Duties also include reconciling accounts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis; playing a lead role in the organization's annual audit; and issuing financial reports to AWP's management, staff, and Board of Trustees.
Qualifications:
One week of travel is required per year to AWP's annual conference. The qualified applicant should have experience in bookkeeping, preferably in the nonprofit environment.
Salary:
$45,000-$55,000; commensurate with experience. Also provided: a flexible schedule, friendly atmosphere, and fantastic benefits including tuition remission from Mason.
