The Association of Writers and Writing Programs, a national nonprofit organization serving literary writers, seeks an Associate Editor.

Responsibilities:
Duties include editing, research, literary news reporting, and shaping of content for AWP's flagship publication--the _Writer's Chronicle_.

Qualifications:
Applicant must be familiar with design software (i.e., Adobe Illustrator, Quark, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign). Previous desktop publishing experience is required. B.A. in English or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience, is required. MFA in creative writing is preferred due to nature of literary work (dealing with contemporary authors and MFA writing programs). Candidate must possess superb writing and editing skills and desktop publishing expertise.
