ABA Therapist - Fairfax, Alexandria, NoVA - Part Time/Contractor

Purpose of the Position:
To provide part-time direct therapeutic interventions to clients using individualized Applied Behavior Analytic programs created by the Optimal Beginnings, LLC Clinical Director (CD).

Responsible to: Lead ABA Therapist, Clinical Director, CEO
Location: Bethesda, MD Office, Home Office, Client homes
Type: Part-Time Contractor
Compensation: 10- 20
hours per week Hourly wage based on experience
Benefits: 401k Investment Option, Supervision Hours at a discounted rate ($50 for Part Time employees), Malpractice/Liability Insurance coverage.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 behaviorally based treatment to children diagnosed with autism and/or other
developmental delays in-home and/or school/community settings based on individualized
programming
Parent training as prescribed in the individualized program on an as needed basis
Implement structured and individualized programs developed by supervisors to address
challenging behaviors with corrective and acceptable behaviors to include the areas of:
language, social, academic literacy, fine and gross motor skills, executive functioning, self-
management, self-help, and age-appropriate play by expanding communities of
reinforcement.
Therapists will provide service to client usually for 2-3 hours at one session (based on
client need)
Maintain accurate documentation, data and input data daily on all designated programs
Attend and participate in staff meetings
Receive and attend ongoing training opportunities in the field of ABA
Can receive BCBA supervisory hours towards BCBA/BCaBA degree upon request/approval
Complete clinical and administrative tasks as designated by a supervisor.
Communicate effectively with all clients and staff.
Requirements
Must be able to work between the hours of 9 AM to 7 PM, opening slots may vary within
these hours
Must be willing to work weekend hours
Must have reliable transportation and willing to travel around the DC Metropolitan Area
Must be able to work at least 10 hours a week, up to 20
hours possible
Must be willing to sit on the floor with children and physically be able to lift children up if
necessary
Must be willing to sign a one year contract
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or currently working towards a degree
Experience/training in applied behavior analysis and autism spectrum disorders preferred
Experience working with children on the autism spectrum beneficial
Experience working with typically developing children is useful
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be flexible, creative, and demonstrate strong organizational skills
Must be highly motivated and self directed
Must be energetic and love working independently, with a team and with individuals with developmental disabilities with Autism and/or other Developmental Disabilities.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
