The Senior Advanced Software Engineer position requires someone with a keen ability to rapidly solve software problems in support of an exciting, highly important program. The ideal candidate must be able to work under pressure and effectively communicate with fellow team members. Given the operational nature of the position the tasking is very dynamic and very good problem solving skills are highly valued.
The Senior Advanced Software Engineer will ensure the proper operation of software which is complex and has a large number of dependencies on other systems (e.g., video encoders, network infrastructure, database, etc). The candidate will develop custom software solutions on-site at the direction of the customer.
In addition to solving ongoing operational problems, novel ideas that can be implemented through software are greatly prized. Newly imagined and implement software prototypes typically get migrated back into a formal software baseline at the factory.
The ideal candidate that will thrive will have a general passion for computing and possess an inquisitive mind that can quickly adapt. The broader and deeper one's software knowledge is the better.
The most critical skills for this position include:
o SQL (SQL Server is preferred)
o Java
o PHP
o JavaScript
Additional skills include:
o Windows OS administration and troubleshooting (e.g., administering Group policies)
o An understanding of concepts in video (e.g., FMV, group of pictures (GOP), H.264, I Frame, etc)

Qualifications:
Candidates must show a passion for innovation, a sophisticated and through understanding of software systems and applications, and the ability to think on one's feet.
The Senior Advanced Software Engineer position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a specialized area or equivalent field and eight to ten years of related experience; or master's degree and six to eight years of related experience.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
