The vitality and magnitude of this mission is achieved by a diverse workforce performing analysis and reconciliation of financial information. Senior level accounting work includes the preparation, analysis, and reconciliation of financial statements and information, tax returns, and general ledgers. They may serve as a technical expert for their area of assignment. Duties may include coordinating the day-to-day financial activities within area of assignment and performing a full range of complex financial activities such as calculating expenditures, conducting research in financial systems and databases to complete reconciliations, budget execution, calculating travel and other expenses, and preparing vouchers.
Mandatory Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with successful polygraph to begin work
Total of at least 5 years of relevant experience required. Experience shall include at least 3 years working as a mid-level accountant.
Bachelor's in Accounting.
CPA required
(3) years of experience interpreting and applying standards set by the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB), and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB).
(3) years of experience applying Federal appropriation law; possesses the ability to obtain considerable knowledge of USG regulations, concepts, methods and standards impacting financial activities.
(3) years of experience compiling data, analyzing it, and developing financial reports.
(3) years of experience applying quality assurance procedures to ensure data integrity and timeliness of the data.
(1) year of experience applying analytic, diagnostic, and qualitative techniques sufficient to identify, evaluate, and recommend appropriate financial solutions to managers to resolve complex interrelated financial issues.
(1) year of experience leading and/or managing and developing staff.
Ability to interact with customers, employees, and managers at all levels in order to contribute to and influence decision-making and resolve conflict.
(3) years of experience responding or briefing on financial topics and issues to a wide range of technical and non-technical customers, co-workers, and managers.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
