Product Marketing Specialist

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
As a GDMS CEWS Product Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for the outbound marketing activities for your products. You will be responsible for crafting the messaging and positioning for products. You'll conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits are crucial. In your role as a Product Marketing Manager, you will be the expert in buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to the outbound sales channel.
Key Responsibilities
Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates your products in the market
Sales enablement communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products
Product launch plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
Market intelligence be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to crush them
Demand generation develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for your products
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
Oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs
Assists in the formulation of advertising campaigns and approves publicity releases and promotional activities
Supports creation of business strategies for product line growth
Demonstrates understanding of business strategies and technical issues as they relate to the product line business growth
Demonstrated knowledge of missions, products and technologies including current and future applications
Demonstrated understanding of specific areas within assigned market, to include budgets, customer priorities, mission gaps and market dynamics
Able to thrive in a highly interactive team environment
Demonstrates strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with customers and internal counterparts
Expected to integrate highly complex activities within their discipline and across functional and project boundaries
Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several products and/or customers
Leads briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives
Demonstrates and uses a depth of organizational knowledge that results in superior performance in delivery of products, services or proposals to customers or collaboration across functions
Work is reviewed in terms of meeting the organization's objectives and timelines
In some instances this manager may have subordinate managers
Relies on resources external to the department or GDMS for implementation
May have responsibility for managing people, including performance evaluations and pay increase recommendations
