Position Overview The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking Software Quality Engineer to join the team located in Fairfax, VA.
Position Responsibilities Maintains software quality engineering program plans.
Uses established criteria to review, comment and recommend approval of software life cycle documents and program products.
Conducts limited audits of software engineering processes and associated support functions.
Assists in configuration management activities such as software product release and change control boards.
Assists with review of deviations and waivers to the software baseline.
Improves products and processes and manage risk.
Verifies pre-test set up.
Monitors or witnesses test activity to established test plans and procedures.
Assists with verification of test results to performance requirements.
Uses established procedures and methods to perform final reconciliation of simple software data products.
Assists in verifying the acceptability of segments of the supplier's software quality systems and programs.
Assists with software acceptance and delivery activities for low risk procurements.
Identifies non-conformances and issues corrective actions.
Reviews and approves corrective and preventive action plans.
Assists in verification of effectiveness of corrective and preventive action plans.
Works under general supervision.
Basic
Qualifications:
This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) US Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Bachelor's degree 1
years of experience in Supplier Quality processes.

years of experience working in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience in a Software Quality Engineering role Experience in software qualification/certification in accordance with any of the following (Verification/ Validation / Readiness) Experience performing product, process or compliance audits of Quality Management Systems Experience reviewing comments and approving software life-cycle documents and program products.
Experience with software development experience in C++, JAVA, Python.
Experience with VMware products, including vSphere, vCenter, vCAC, vCOps, and vCO Experience in JIRA Experience applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), or other similar rigorous problem/analysis/resolution.
Experience navigating web-based applications (WebEx, Shared Point, etc.
).
Experience with public speaking and presenting information in a team and/or leadership setting.
Experience with basic systems engineering principles used to create process-driven documentation, manage project/program requirements, and produce task schedules.
Typical Education &
Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg Master).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
