Audio-Visual Systems Engineer
AV Systems Engineer As an AV Systems Engineer, you will design systems large and small that meet company standards for usability, reliability and serviceability for integration into museums and public places.
The company's museum systems are fully integrated and complex, includes networking,computer, audio visual and lighting control.
Will work with sales department, directly with the client, and with project managers to take technology systems projects from inception to completion and client acceptance.
Responsible for understanding and enforcing company standards.
Successful candidates have proficiency in design to budget parameters working with project manager and owner for value added solutions.
We are urgently seeking qualified candidates to fill this role Other responsibilities of the AV Systems Engineer role include:
Serve as the main point-of-contact for clients during the Design phase of the project and on design-only consulting engagements Analyze project needs and perform site surveys as appropriate Work with vendor partners, leveraging their resources to more efficiently produce system design Produce Bills of Materials for proposals and installation Define functional requirements for control systems programmer Define scope of work for Installation phase of the project Review designs produced by junior engineering team members for technical accuracy and compliance with company project needs.
Read and correctly interpret bid specifications, architectural drawings and schematic drawings Exhibit resourcefulness, eagerly researching new technologies Effectively coordinate and manage multiple system design projects In the AV Systems Engineer, you must have recent and relevant experience in the position or similar environment Additional requirements include:
Minimum 3 years industry experience in an engineering capacity with additional tenure as an hands on intergrator Drawing software proficiency Audio DSP programming knowledge of major platforms Familiarity with current AV technologies Familiarity with National Building and Electrical code Desire to learn new technologies and applications InfoComm CTS, CTS-D preferred Able to provide references Willingness to undergo a background check & drug screen Willingness to take skill assessments as needed Dedicated, passionate attitude from someone wanting to make a difference in their job Benefits PrideStaff wants you to Succeed!
