What we needWe are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Payroll team as a Payroll Specialist.
The ideal candidate is someone who can multi-task and prioritize effectively, work independently, and communicate efficiently with individuals throughout the company.
The Payroll Specialist performs complex work involved in the maintenance and accurate processing of the Company's payroll.
Maintains employee payroll information in an integrated information data system; audits and processes incoming payroll data; assists departments with applicable forms and processes.
This position pays $35K-$55K
per year.
The pay is based heavily on experience with the $35K range being for those candidates with limited payroll experience but who are willing to take on a new challenge, and the $55K and up range being for candidates with significant in house payroll experience as well as experience in state taxes, W2 processing, account reconciliation, garnishments, etc.
During the COVID 19 pandemic, the payroll specialist will work a hybrid work from home/work in office schedule.
Weekends and holidays may be required based on the workload and the needs of the business.

Apply today to join our All Star Team!How will you make an impact?Process Company's bi-weekly and weekly in-house payroll in a timely and accurate manner; perform complex payroll calculations; verify information from relevant forms; audit, correct and balance payroll and a variety of reports.
Supervise and process payroll check distribution.
Monitor and analyze all payroll edits and make corrections when necessary.
Develop and maintain complex payroll spreadsheets; compile, analyze, calculate and audit information from all relevant forms; process adjustments, codes and enters information into the payroll system; research and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare employee manual checks as required.
Handle garnishment/tax lien payments including maintaining files and submitting notices to 3rd party provider.
Maintain proper back up files for research and reference.
Ensure proper entries and maintenance of records in PeopleSoft.
Process employee expense reimbursements, payroll adjustments, and monthly tip reports.
Assist in unclaimed payroll processing and payroll account reconciliations.
Respond to inquiries and requests from employees, all levels of management and government agencies.
Maintain confidentiality of information for the Payroll Office.
Ensure completion of quarterly multiple worksite report for various state agencies.
Act as Corporate cashier.
Back up Payroll Supervisor when needed.
What will you bring to the role?High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Work requires general knowledge of accounting or business principles and practices generally obtained through completion of a Bachelor 's degree program in an accounting or business-related field.
3-5 years of payroll experience and/or formal training and experience working in an office environment.
Competence in applying general accounting principles and coordination of major administrative functions.
Effective communication skills.
Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people.
Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities.
Ability to problem-solve.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office:
Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
Proficiency with PeopleSoft preferred.
Ability to multi-task and work under time constraints.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
