Position SummaryServe as a construction technical representative of Inova throughout the process of facilities development involving the planning, budgeting, public approval, design review, construction, commissioning and turn-over of new and/or renovated Inova owned and leased facilities.
Advises, coordinates and directs the activities required for project development and approval to assure that completed projects meet the operating unit's scope, schedule, and budget.
Supervises field support staff if assigned to the Project Manager's projects and coordinates with Inova Design & Construction Department (IDCD) Support Services staff on project related matters.
Demonstrate fiscal accountability for construction project management to include budget development and compliance.
Serves as project team leader for contractors, architects, engineers, Inova hospital staff, or any other outside consultant.
Serves as County and State Liaison ensuring all documents and permits are obtained for approval to proceed with construction project.
Develops initial project Master Schedules and Milestones and monitors project progress resulting in timely project completion for Inova.
Coordinates contractor selection, prepared Request for Proposal (RFP) package, ensures accuracy of bid analysis, and coordinates award of construction contract.
Reviews conceptual design with operating units and design professionals (Architect, Engineer, and/or Consultant) to ensure the design scope, schedule, and budget are aligned.
Monitors progress of Project Team through construction phase of the project and notifies IDCD of any deficiencies.
RequirementsExperienceFive years of Construction/Design experience with a General Contractor, Mechanical Contractor, or Electrical Contractor.
Facilities Engineering & Maintenance work experience with a hospital completing or having completed major new construction and renovation projects.
EducationBachelor's degree in construction related field of study or a two-year associates degree in a construction-related field and 10 years hospital construction experience as a general contractor's project manager or superintendent on major healthcare projects.
Training:
Competent with applicable building codes and design standards relative to healthcare design (ie IBC, VUSBC, NFPA 101, and AIA Guidelines for Healthcare Facilities).
CertificationPreferred - Professional certifications include:
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) with the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA); Architect, registered architect (RA) in Virginia and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA); Engineering, professional engineer (PE); Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) with the American Hospital Association (AHA).
ASHE Certified Hospital Construction Manager.
LicensurePreferred - Registered Architect (RA) with American Institute of Architects or Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Registration from any state(s) is acceptable.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
