Act as a working leader who will supervise the Cat department and work alongside the technologistsDemonstrates leadership and independent judgment necessary to support an effective work environmentDevelops and assists in continuous performance improvement within the department in order to maintain optimal quality patient careManages the overall operations of the section to ensure quality patient care and customer satisfactionDemonstrates a thorough understanding of Imaging principles and techniquesDefines standards for quality and evaluates process/service against those standardsWorking knowledge of effective utilization of department operating budget in areas of accountabilityDemonstrates the initiative to stay abreast of current technology and shows evidence of professional growthDemonstrates a thorough knowledge and understanding of radiation protection and safety principles and procedures Requirements
Experience:
Five years of applicable imaging experience as a Cat Scan Tech, Mammo Tech, Interventional Rad Tech, or Nuc Med Tech in a hospital/healthcare environment; Prior leadership and supervisory is strongly preferredEducation:
Graduate of an accredited school/program of Radiology or Nuclear MedicineCertification:
BLS; ARRT or CNMT (Nuc Med) registered, with an additional certification in CAT scan, Mammo, DEXA, Intervent Rad (CV, CI, or VI), as applicableOther:
Interpersonal abilities, communication, consultation, facilitation, and presentation.
Basic computer skills to include word processing and spreadsheet analysis as well as EMR and PACS troubleshooting.
