Apogee is seeking a Network Engineer (Senior) to work in support of the Secretary of the Air Force Concepts, Development, and Management Office (SAF/CDMO) in Fairfax, VA.

What you will be doing:
Providing technical support and recommendations on network solutions to federate the Mission Partners Capabilities Office (MPCO)/Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation Systems (BICES) Capability Office (BCO) Enterprise.
Supporting MPCO staff in identifying network solutions.
Working in conjunction with MPCO government staff to identify networking solutions to support the extension of capabilities to support military operations in any theater of operations.
Making recommendations on the deployment of capabilities aboard naval vessels, aircraft, in austere locations, implementations requiring mobility, and as required, with partner nation forces.
Performing engineering and Information Technology (IT) technical analyses, including people, applications, processes, tools, hardware, data, and infrastructure, for all phases of the Information Technology Information Library (ITIL) cycle Providing a report on the current service strategy metrics and making recommendations for improvement.
Performing engineering and technical analyses of the MPE portfolio, including JWICS (SCI), including Federated Mission Networking (FMN) Protected Core Networking (PCN) and Cloud.
Addressing MPE portfolio technical feasibility, alternative technologies, state-of-the-art and emerging technologies, logistics support, technology roadmaps, risk, earned value management, innovation, quality assurance, key performance parameters and key indicators and service-level agreements.
What you'll need:
Security clearance required:
TS/SCI Minimum of Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical field with 14 years of relevant network engineering experience or Master's degree in engineering or other technical field with 10 years of relevant network engineering experience Minimum of 6 years of relevant network engineering experience within Department of Defense (DoD) programs Experience in the design, testing, implementation, and sustainment of information sharing network solutions and knowledge of satellite and terrestrial communications Experience in support of military networks with specific experience supporting Special Operations Forces, with at least three years' experience deploying or actively supporting coalition or bilateral military information sharing efforts Minimum two years' experience working with the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands or with NATO.
Ability to work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a program independently Strong verbal and written communication skills, including preparing and presenting analytical documents for senior officials

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
